The MoonSwatch + Snoopy Collaboration: A Cosmic Adventure!

Building anticipation over the past couple of months with teasers hinting at a Snoopy-themed variation, the reveal did not disappoint....

Swatch has unveiled its latest addition to the MoonSwatch lineage with the introduction of the MoonSwatch Mission to the Moonphase. Building anticipation over the past couple of months with teasers hinting at a Snoopy-themed variation, the reveal did not disappoint. This new timepiece features an all-white colorway, comprising a white dial, case, and velcro strap, echoing the iconic simplicity of the lunar landscape.

A standout feature of the Mission to the Moonphase is the incorporation of beloved Peanuts characters, Snoopy and Woodstock, positioned atop the moon in the upper right sub-register. This playful homage draws parallels to the esteemed Omega Speedmaster Silver Snoopy limited edition of 2015, where Snoopy graced the dial in a similar fashion, commemorating the Apollo 13 mission.

However, the Mission to the Moonphase takes Snoopy’s role to new heights, quite literally, with Snoopy depicted on the moon phase disc within the two o’clock subdial. This dynamic portrayal not only adds a whimsical touch but also serves a functional purpose, tracking the 29.5-day lunar cycle. Moreover, under UV light, a hidden quote from Snoopy’s comic strip emerges, injecting an element of surprise and delight for the wearer.

The watch’s all-white aesthetic, including the bezel insert, dial, case, and strap, evokes a sense of freshness reminiscent of the Speedmaster White Side of the Moon. Scheduled for release on March 26, exactly two years since the debut of the first MoonSwatch in 2022, the Mission to the Moonphase marks a significant milestone in the MoonSwatch saga.

Unlike previous limited editions, the Mission to the Moonphase is set to join the permanent collection. Priced at $310 in the US, the introduction of this new model signifies a departure from the norm, offering enthusiasts a blend of character integration, complication, and design sophistication.
