Susie Wolff Files Criminal Complaint Against the FIA After December Allegations

“I can confirm that I personally filed a criminal complaint in the French courts on the 4th of March," Wolff said. ...

After the FIA announced in December that it was looking into media accusations against Susie Wolff and her husband Toto, it was assumed that their dismissal would be the end of it. But no, Susie is taking legal action against the FIA.

“I can confirm that I personally filed a criminal complaint in the French courts on the 4th of March in relation to the statements made about me by the FIA last December,” Wolff announced in a post on social media.

“There has still not been any transparency or accountability in relation to the conduct Of the FIA and its personnel in this matter.

“I feel more than ever it is important to stand up, call out improper behaviour and make sure people are held to account.

“Whilst some may think silence absolves them from responsibility – it does not.”

It was understood that the Wolff’s were accused of a “conflict of interest” and though they were not named officially, some outlets reported their involvement.

The FIA’s investigation was dropped after nine teams released similarly worded statements denying any claims that they had any concerns about a conflict of interest. Wolff made her displeasure clear at the time.

“When I saw the statement issued by the FIA yesterday evening, my first reaction was: ‘Is that it?’” she said in December.

“For two days, insinuations have been made about my integrity in public and through background briefings, but nobody from the FIA has spoken to me directly.”
