In the realm of haute horlogerie, Louis Vuitton has cemented its presence with a journey marked by precision, innovation, and timeless elegance. Over the past decade, the luxury fashion house’s watch division has expanded its influence, notably through strategic acquisitions and a steadfast commitment to artisanal craftsmanship.

A pivotal moment in this trajectory was the acquisition of movement specialist La Fabrique de Temps (LFT) approximately ten years ago. This strategic move laid the groundwork for Louis Vuitton’s foray into haute horlogerie, setting the stage for a series of remarkable timepieces that combine technical prowess with artistic expression.

Central to this narrative is the esteemed atelier within LFT, La Fabrique des Arts, renowned for its expertise in curating metiers d’art. It is within this collaborative environment that the latest offering from Louis Vuitton’s horological repertoire comes to life: the Louis Vuitton Voyager Flying Tourbillon, adorned with an exquisite plique-à-jour enamel dial.

The Voyager case, a hallmark of Louis Vuitton’s haute horlogerie collection, serves as the perfect canvas for this exceptional creation. Crafted from platinum and boasting a striking silhouette characterized by graceful curves, the Voyager case harmonizes seamlessly with the intricate enamel dial, elevating the timepiece to the pinnacle of sophistication.

At the heart of this horological marvel lies the manually wound LV 104 movement, meticulously crafted and assembled by La Fabrique du Temps. This skeletonized caliber, operating at 21,600 vibrations/hour, not only powers the flying tourbillon prominently displayed at 6 o’clock but also boasts an impressive 80-hour power reserve.

The pièce de résistance of the Louis Vuitton Voyager Flying Tourbillon is undoubtedly its plique-à-jour enamel dial. This intricate technique, characterized by transparent enamel devoid of backing, imparts a mesmerizing translucency to the dial, creating a captivating play of light and color as it passes through shades of blue and grey.

Each dial undergoes a painstaking process, involving five to six layers of enamel and meticulous kiln firings, culminating in over 100 hours of meticulous craftsmanship. The result is a dial of unparalleled beauty and complexity, a testament to the skill and dedication of the artisans at La Fabrique des Arts.

The Louis Vuitton Voyager Flying Tourbillon “Poinçon de Genève” Plique-à-Jour is a true embodiment of luxury and innovation. Paired with a navy blue leather strap and secured with a platinum folding buckle, this horological masterpiece is a symbol of refined taste and sophistication.

While the price of this exceptional timepiece is available upon request, one can expect it to exceed EUR 200,000.
