Arnold & Son has stepped boldly into the realm of luxury sports watches with the introduction of its inaugural integrated sports timepiece, the Longitude Titanium. Unveiled at the prestigious Watches and Wonders 2024 event, this remarkable creation pays homage to the legacy of John Arnold, the master horologist whose innovations shaped the course of horology.

Named after John Arnold’s legendary marine chronometers, the Longitude Titanium exudes a timeless elegance while embracing the rugged spirit of contemporary sailing. The design cues draw inspiration from the sleek lines of modern yachts, with the case exquisitely crafted from lightweight titanium, measuring 42.5mm in diameter and 12.25mm in thickness.

True to its maritime heritage, the Longitude Titanium boasts a water resistance of 100 meters, fortified by a screw-down crown and caseback, offering peace of mind to adventurers and enthusiasts alike. The bezel, adorned with 60 notches reminiscent of navigational precision, frames a dial available in three captivating hues: Kingsand Gold, Ocean Blue, and Fern Green, each paying homage to John Arnold’s birthplace in Cornwall.

The dial echoes the layout of John Arnold’s marine chronometers, featuring a power reserve indicator at noon and small seconds at 6 o’clock. The hour markers and hands, treated with luminescent Super-LumiNova, ensure optimal legibility even in low-light conditions, while the textured rubber strap, coupled with the integrated titanium bracelet, provides versatility and comfort for every occasion.

At the heart of the Longitude Titanium beats the A&S6302 caliber, an automatic movement bearing the prestigious COSC chronometer certification. The 22k gold openworked rotor, resembling the prow of an 18th-century English frigate, pays homage to the brand’s maritime legacy, while the chamfered bridges adorned with Rayons de la Gloire striped finishing showcase the meticulous attention to detail.

Available in a limited edition of 88 pieces, the Kingsand Gold variant of the Longitude Titanium embodies exclusivity and sophistication, retailing for CHF 22,600 (incl. VAT). Meanwhile, the Ocean Blue and Fern Green iterations offer timeless elegance without limitation, priced at CHF 21,500 (incl. VAT).
