Unveiling the Fin-tastic Collaboration: Bausele x Seconde/Seconde Perspective Dive Watch Adventure

The veil of mystery was lifted as Romaric André, true to seconde/seconde/’s irreverent style, breathed life into Bausele’s iconic Sydney Diver, infusing it with a dash of tongue-in-cheek Australiana. At the heart of this collaboration lies a captivating motif – a pixelated fin graphic, poised to evoke either the thrill of impending shark encounters or the serenity of bobbing surfboards, depending on one’s perspective.

Dubbed the Bausele x Seconde/Seconde Perspective, this horological marvel boasts an oversized, double-sided seconds hand adorned with the whimsical fin graphic. Every 30 seconds, the fin undergoes a playful inversion, symbolizing a shift in perception akin to the ebb and flow of time itself. It’s a masterstroke of design, seamlessly transforming the Sydney Diver into a canvas of playful expression.

Bausele and seconde/seconde/ revel in the joyous absurdity of their creation. Nestled at 6 o’clock on the dial, the cheeky inscription “deep!” serves as both a nod to the watch’s formidable 200m water resistance and a playful acknowledgment of the Perspective’s lighthearted ethos. Even the caseback bears witness to their shared sense of humor, with an engraving that leaves no room for ambiguity.

True to its heritage, the Bausele x Seconde/Seconde Perspective features a black IP stainless steel case, accentuated by a unidirectional diving bezel adorned with color-matched blue Super-LumiNova markings. Paying homage to Australia’s rugged beauty, the hollow crown is filled with red sand from the Kimberley, a nod to the nation’s northern frontier.

Duality reigns supreme with two dial variants on offer – a striking black or a pristine white, each exuding its unique charm. The white dial model exudes a fusion of Gallic flair and Aussie spirit, with the red sand forming a French Tricolore accent. In contrast, the black dial variant exudes an aura of rugged resilience, juxtaposed against the watch’s playful demeanor. Both variants come paired with either a black Tropic-style rubber strap or a blue Velcro strap.

The Bausele x Seconde/Seconde Perspective is a celebration of artistic collaboration, limited to a mere 100 pieces (50 black, 50 white). Available from 6:30 am AEDT on February 2nd, this horological gem can be secured exclusively through Bausele’s online store. Priced at US$1,400 / A$2,140.
