As the Lunar New Year approaches, Bovet have seized the festive spirit with a grand unveiling. With a rich history deeply rooted in China, Bovet introduces the Récital 26 Chapter 2 Golden Dragon

As the Chinese zodiac transitions into the Year of the Dragon in February 2024, Bovet pays homage to this cultural icon. The dragon, being the sole mythological creature in the zodiac, holds profound significance. The choice of a golden dragon is deliberate, symbolizing luck, success, and strength. Crafted meticulously from 18k red gold, the dragon coils around the openworked dial, showcasing intricate details in its whiskers and mane, while the scaled body adds a tactile richness.

In the absence of a traditional ‘dial,’ the Bovet Récital 26 Chapter 2 Golden Dragon employs blue as a dominant complementary color to the red gold. A miniature domed dial, made of blue quartz, elegantly displays the hours and minutes above the dragon. Beneath the dragon’s embrace, a peek into the blue moonphase indicator and the user-friendly blue world time complication enhance the watch’s functionality. The unconventional dial arrangement, coupled with the distinctive ‘writing desk’ sloped case, ensures a captivating visual experience. The 46.5mm diameter might make it robust, but it also guarantees a bold statement on the wrist.

Notably, the Bovet Récital 26 Chapter 2 Golden Dragon stands as one of the rare tourbillon-powered watches that doesn’t flaunt its complication on the dial. Instead, the magic unfolds on the colossal sapphire caseback, revealing an awe-inspiring tapestry of engravings. The detailed bridges guide the eye to the mesmerizing tourbillon, while a strategic window at 12 o’clock provides a tantalizing glimpse of the power indicator, covering the impressive 5-day reserve of the calibre 17DM06-DT, comprised of 443 components arranged with unparalleled elegance.

True to its luxurious nature, the Bovet Récital 26 Chapter 2 Golden Dragon embraces exclusivity, with a production limited to 1-2 models per month. The price, though kept under wraps, is available on request.
