The Franck Muller x BWD Crazy Hours Arctic Snoopy Limited Edition: A Whimsical Journey into Watch Customization

Bamford Watch Department are back with another limited edition Snoopy release....

Bamford Watch Department, the trailblazer of the custom watch market, has consistently transformed Swiss timepieces with its avant-garde approach. From blacked-out Rolex watches to an exclusive deal with LVMH in 2018, Bamford Watch Department continues to redefine existing designs, infusing them with new materials, vibrant colors, and unique textures that stretch the boundaries of imagination.

The Franck Muller Crazy Hours is renowned for its chaotic complication – the disordered jumping hours indication that whimsically propels the hour hand across the dial in an apparently random manner. While this chaotic feature already adds character to the classic tonneau-shaped design, Bamford Watch Department took it a step further by introducing beloved Peanuts characters Snoopy and Woodstock in a 20-piece limited edition in 2021. Now, this dynamic trio returns for a second round with the Franck Muller x BWD Crazy Hours Arctic Snoopy Limited Edition.

Previously, Bamford Watch Department treated the stainless steel Crazy Hours to a blacked-out Snoopy treatment in 2021. In this sequel, the Cintrée Curvex case style makes a comeback, maintaining its dimensions at 39.6mm in diameter and 11.8mm in thickness. However, the aesthetic takes a polar shift with an arctic white color scheme. The watch features a white PVD-treated titanium case, a fully luminescent white dial adorned with a stamped guilloche pattern and 25 layers of lacquer, and a hand-sewn white nylon strap, creating a visually striking monochromatic ensemble.

Powering the Franck Muller x BWD Crazy Hours Arctic Snoopy Limited Edition is the automatic MVD FM 2800-CHR movement, boasting a 42-hour power reserve. Despite the movement’s exquisite Geneva striping, circular graining, bevelling, and blued screws, it remains concealed beneath a solid titanium caseback. True to Bamford Watch Department’s style, the watch comes in elaborate packaging – a Swiss-made Igloo doghouse box in white with black trim and yellow accents featuring a perched Woodstock.

The initial collaboration saw all 20 pieces of the limited edition quickly sold out. This time, the limited edition run has more than doubled, with 45 pieces available from Bamford Watch Department starting November 27. The Franck Muller x BWD Crazy Hours Arctic Snoopy is priced at £28,800 and will be exclusively available online at from 09:00 GMT on November 27.
