A Few Lucky Guests Can Spend the Night at Bilbo’s Hobbit Hole in Hobbiton

For the first time ever, fans can spend the night in Hobbiton in their very own Hobbit Hole. ...

Lord of the Rings fans have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to spend a night in The Shire in one of the Hobbit holes. From December 14, a tiny number of lucky guests will be able to book a room on the physical shooting location of Hobbiton in New Zealand.

This is extremely exclusive as only three individual two-night bookings (for up to four guests) will be accepted, according to Airbnb. It only costs $10 NZD per night and the stays will be hosted in 2023 on March 2-4, March 9-11, and March 16-18.

Hobbiton Co-Founder, Russell Alexander, said, “For more than two decades, we’ve welcomed millions of passionate fans to the Hobbiton Movie Set, but never before has anyone had the opportunity to spend a night in Middle-earth. I am delighted to share the beauty of my family’s farm and pleased to be hosting this iconic location on Airbnb for fans from around the world.”

Guests have exclusive access to their own Hobbit Hole, will receive an evening feast at the Green Dragon Inn, and take a behind-the-scenes private tour of the set. Guests will receive a second breakfast, and Elevenses too.

For more information, head to the Hobbiton listing on Airbnb or apply to book at 8am AEDT/7am AEST/10am NZDT on Wednesday, December 14.
