Pharrell Williams is launching an online auction platform, Joopiter. To get things going, Williams has selected almost 50 items from his wardrobe. There’s jewellery, clothing, sneakers, and most importantly, watches.

There are eight watches on offer and some of their price tags are eye watering, but that’s what happens when you have bejewelled G-Shocks and rare Audemars Piguets.

Rare Royal Oak Perpetual Calendars

Williams has two highly collectible Royal Oak Perpetual Calendars; one in platinum with a Mark 2 dial, the other in yellow gold with a Mark 1 dial. These watches were released in the late 1980s and as a result, they don’t have a leap-year mechanism. That doesn’t matter though because there are only a reported 126 of these made in gold, and just 34 in platinum and they aren’t going for cheap. The platinum version has a pre-sale estimate of $275,000 – $375,000 USD and the gold is estimated at $250,000 – $350,000 USD.

AP Dynamographe

This is another rare one. This is a re-release from 2007 which consisted of just 150 watches with 14 unique examples. They were believed to have been made “after-series” for the brand’s top clients and this is one of those 14, according to the website. Made in a titanium case and carbon fibre mainplate, this is more interesting for its three-arm tourbillon carriage, linear power reserve indicator, and the unique “dynamograph” function. This measures the quality of torque within the mainspring. This is estimated to go for $175,000 – $225,000.

Royal Oak Concept Tourbillon Chronograph

This is very similar to the above Dynamographe but in matte black everything. Instead of a dynamograph function, you’ve got a power reserve function at 12 o’clock, and instead of that linear display you’ve got a horizontal 30-minute chronograph counter. Prices are estimated at $175,000 – $225,000.

The Two G-Shocks

These G-Shocks aren’t just your ordinary G-Shocks as they’ve been glammed up by Jacob & Co. One of them features 14K yellow gold with a caseback frosted with a diamond studded caricature of Pharrell from his In My Mind album. The other is the same with 14K white gold instead. Both are encrusted with diamonds so they’re not quite the G-Shock you take on a casual outing. Both watches are estimated at $17,500 – $27,500. (Also they’re kinda gross in my opinion but each to their own).

Chopard Imperiale

Pharrell seems to have a thing for completely iced out watches. This Chopard Imperiale is crafted in 18K white gold and pavé-set with baguette diamonds on the dial and bezel. If diamonds are your thing, then this is for you, but it’s going to cost you. This has an estimated sale price of $300,000 – $500,000.

Jacob & Co. Time Zone Royal Collection

Once again – diamonds! This was a collaboration between Pharrell and Jacob & Co. and naturally was one of first to wear the Five Time Zone watch. This is a 2005 example from Jacob’s Royal Collection and is stamped with a 001. It’s a big 49mm watch cased in 18K white gold with over 300 flawless clarity diamonds adorning damn near everything. This one, unsurprisingly, doesn’t come cheap either at $250,000 – $350,000.
