Since Porsche & TAG Heuer gave us the Carrera Chronograph in 2021, we’ve been hungering for another offering from the pair. They’ve since delivered with the Connected Calibre E4 smartwatch that offers wearers features that you can’t get with just any smartwatch.
Collaborations between brands tend to be simply cosmetic nature, but not so with the Connected. The added features are specifically aimed at Porsche drivers with new Wear OS software that makes things that little bit more convenient, or dare we say it, smart.
These OS features include displays for battery charge, remaining range, total mileage. Additionally, you can alter the cars heating and air conditioning using the watch. All of this done via the My Porsche app.
Added functionality specifically for Porsche owners makes this a collaboration with some thought put into it. The Connected Calibre E4 still does all the things a regular smartwatch can do including fitness tracking, calorie intake measures, and GPS functionality.

The functionality works with compatible Porsche models including the Macan (as of Macan 1), the Panamera (as of gen 2), the Taycan (as of J1), the 911 (as of 991.2), the Cayenne, and the 718 (as of 982).
The additional software exclusives are nice, but there are cosmetic exclusives too. The dial (do we still call smartwatch face dials? Or screens?) is the “Circuit” watch face that takes inspiration from both circuit boards and race circuits. According to TAG Heuer, the dial is “an animated visual effect which connects TAG Heuer watches and Porsche cars with a feeling of technology and speed.”
The dial isn’t the only place Porsche’s presence is felt. The details and highlights take inspiration from the all-electric Taycan. All the accents are in the Frozen Blue present all over the Taycan. Even the stitching on the on black calf leather strap with rubber base is blue. A very nice touch.
The 45mm case is sandblasted black titanium grade two with a polished black ceramic bezel. The crown is black steel with the TAG Heuer shield in blue lacquer. The glass is flat sapphire crystal for added durability.
Frédéric Arnault, CEO of TAG Heuer, said:
“For both TAG Heuer and Porsche, the thrill of driving is part of our heritage. This watch celebrates the fearless spirit of both maisons – as well as highlights the sustainable innovation of the Taycan. This watch evokes many of the passions we share – high performance, technological innovation, and our love for unique and unmatched products.”
The Connected Calibre E4 – Porsche Edition is available for $4,000 AUD ($2,750 USD).
