Green Day frontman Billy Joe Armstrong hasn’t changed his opinion of the United States since “American Idiot” with the overturning of Roe v Wade seeming to be the last straw.
Armstrong is currently in the U.K. on the band’s “Hella Mega” tour with Fall Out Boy and Weezer. It was on stage at the London Stadium, that Armstrong condemned the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v Wade. He vowed that he would move to the U.K. and shouted “F- America!”
Armstrong added, “There’s too much f-king stupid in the world to go back to that miserable f-king excuse for a country.”

This isn’t the first time an American celebrity has threatened to leave the country as many, including Miley Cyrus, vowed they would move to Canada if Donald Trump won the 2016 U.S. election. None ever did.
But Armstrong assured the audience, “Oh, I’m not kidding, you’re going to get a lot of me in the coming days.”
Armstrong isn’t the only musician to slam the Supreme Court. Olivia Rodrigo and Lily Allen dedicated a performance of Allen’s song “F-k You” to the Supreme Court. Rodrigo told the crowd,
“I wanted to dedicate this next song to the five members of the Supreme Court who have showed us that at the end of the day, they truly don’t give a shit about freedom. The song is for the justices: Samuel Alito, Clarence Thomas, Neil Gorsuch, Amy Coney Barrett, Brett Kavanaugh. We hate you!”
Taylor Swift added on Twitter, “I’m absolutely terrified that this is where we are. That after so many decades of people fighting for women’s rights to their own bodies, today’s decision has stripped us of that.”

Jack White was scathing and bitter towards former President Donald Trump alleged hypocrisy as he faces allegations of having paid for several abortions of previous partners. As White wrote, “Well Trump, you took the country backwards 50 years. I hope your dad is smiling and waving down to you from heaven, while his other hand holds a record of all the abortions you secretly paid for behind closed doors.”
Rage Against The Machine have pledged $475,000 to abortion access groups in Wisconsin and Illinois.
Lizzo and Live Nation pledged a combined $1 million to abortion rights groups throughout the U.S.
All we can say here in Australia is, “Good luck, America.”
