Adidas Originals are dropping a ton of new watches with manufacturing and distribution done by Timex Group. This is Adidas’ first collection of watches designed and manufactured by the Timex Group and it’s bloody amazing!
We saw last year that Timex and Adidas had signed a global licensing deal and this drop is the first of its fruits.
There are so many colours available that it’s very difficult to make a choice between them. What is a little easier to decide on, is the case. There are just four different options, two digital and two analogue.

The Digital One GMT looks like one of those old Digimon pocket pet things, like a Tamagotchi. They are very juvenile but at the same time, they’re very fun. They come in green, blue, red, and white semi-transparent cases and straps. It has a GMT function too for that added bit of functionality.

The Digital Two is my favourite of the bunch though, even though Casio might consider calling their lawyers. It’s 80s inspired design is what really draws me to it. I especially love the green dial with gold variant. Just makes me want to whip out my tracksuit and start squatting. The rubber strap isn’t bad either, not as good as the steel bracelet but still pretty good.
Now the analogue watches are still good but don’t quite reach the same level as the digital watches.

You’ve got the Project One which is a solar-powered piece with Breguet hands. It’s a very green watch, which is fantastic. It features a bio-based resin strap and an ocean recycled plastic case. I like how simple these watches are and the colour options – green, red, and grey – are striking without being distracting.
The Project Two has basically all the same features as the Project One minus the Breguet hands and plus an oversize embossed Adidas logo on the dial. I don’t enjoy these as much as the Project One but they certainly don’t look bad.

In Australia, these are available at The Iconic.
