Made specifically for the Children Action charity, this unique titanium watch from Patek Philippe is expected to do big numbers.
Patek Philippe have created a unique watch specifically for a charity sale at auction. And it isn’t just any ol’ watch either, but a perpetual calendar chronograph crafted in titanium, a first for this reference. The Patek Philippe ref. 5270T-010 perpetual calendar chronograph is for the Swiss charity, Children Action.
The reference’s dial leans into the green trend we’ve seen recently but this one is simply divine and a testament to the staying power of the green dial for the time being. This sunburst dial is in a unique shade of emerald green that matches the stitching on the glossy black alligator strap. Trust Patek to deliver with the details.

A sapphire caseback comes with a metallised inscription “Children Action 2022” to add to its status as a collector’s item. Inside you’ll be able to see the CH 29-535 PS Q movement. If you so wish to keep the insides a secret, an interchangeable solid titanium caseback is also provided.
Patek Philippe are very particular about their use of titanium on their watches. The only time they use it is for private commissions for their select customers or specifically for items sold at charity auctions. You can’t deny that the limiting use of titanium on their watches certainly help drives the price up for charity which at least is for a good cause.
Last time Patek did this was in 2017 with a titanium Ref. 5208T-101 minute repeater perpetual calendar chronograph. This was sold at Only Watch for a whopping $6.2 million USD – the 9th most expensive wristwatch ever sold. In 2013 they sold a titanium Ref. 5004T split-second perpetual calendar was sold at the same auction for $4 million USD.
It’s expected this watch to big numbers as the demand for unique watches has absolutely skyrocketed recently. Just look at the huge numbers paid for the Tiffany blue Patek Philippe Nautlius. Patek knows how to release a limited edition watch.
The watch will be auctioned off at the Children Action gala in Geneva on November 7.
