Everyone has their own favourites from Watches and Wonders but everyone else’s opinion is wrong because here are our favourites from Watches and Wonders 2022.

Watches and Wonders 2022 was a big one for the watchmaking community. There were so many watches unveiled, released, teased, or whatever that it was difficult to keep up! But keep up we did and here are some of Ten Pieces of Eight’s favourite watches from Watches and Wonders 2022.

Hublot Big Bang Ceramics

Who doesn’t love these new colour options? They look slick, sturdy, and stylish. Even on a technical level it’s impressive with monobloc architecture, a bracelet integrated into the case, and the monomaterial case and bracelet made from ceramic.

Tudor Black Bay GMT

What bloody beauty this one is. It’s so vintage it feels right out of the 70s in the best way possible.

Rolex GMT-Master II

Rolex didn’t do anything very interesting this year with the exception of their new GMT-Master II. And why is it noteworthy? Because the crown and crown-guard are on the left side. It’s one of those things you don’t really notice at first but the more you look at it, the more you notice something is different.

Laurent-Ferrier Sport Auto

I can’t help but notice that everything in the list has been sports watches so far. That may be the case but that doesn’t mean I’m going to stop now because the Sport Auto is a thing of beauty. Of all the Nautilus adjacent watches out there, I think this one is one of the best.

Cartier Métiers d'Art

I love the seeing the Cartier Crash motif appear when I least expect it. This watch’s African animal design cues add a sense of wildness and funk that really works well with the asymmetrical case.

Vacheron Constantin Overseas Skeleton

Vacheron’s Overseas models have always been extremely sexy. Now they’re even sexier with a skeletonised tourbillon.

TAG Heuer Monaco Gulf Special Edition

It’s sexy, it’s historic, and now it has its very own in-house movement. Just look at it and marvel.

Roger Dubuis Knight of the Round Table

I just love how over the top and even avant-garde Roger Dubuis tends to be. This watch is no exception to that, in fact, it’s the epitome of it.

H. Moser & Cie Endeavour Collection

These watches are complexity made simple. They are minimal and incredibly stylish with dial colours that match those available from the very best.
