The multidimensional anger test is the latest viral trend on the platform but don’t worry, for once it isn’t as bad as eating Tide Pods.

Every knows about all the dances and songs that go viral on TikTok but now there is a new trend, and it surrounds the multidimensional anger test and sharing your results online.

The anger test is based around some actual science that is fairly solid from Dr. Judith M. Siegel. Dr. Siegel is a professor of community health sciences at UCLA; however, she is not involved with the test hosted by IDR Labs, merely that it draws from her work and research.

So what is the test? It’s designed to map “your experience of anger along multiple empirical dimensions.” The test is actually frequently used for research purposes and in clinical settings. So generally speaking, it isn’t a test that’s completely full of crap.

It’s hitting the mainstream hard because of TikTok and it isn’t a bad thing. Not only does it measure how susceptible you are to anger, but it can also give insight into your general well-being.

The actual trend is just sharing your results no matter how good or bad they appear to be. That’s the whole trend really, just discuss and share your results with others and find out some insight into your own mental faculties. Some people may not even be aware they have anger issues or even how susceptible they are to emotion. It doesn’t mean that it will fix the problem, but awareness is the first step.

However, it is important to note that the test has a disclaimer stating, “The results of our online multidimensional anger test are provided ‘as-is’, and should not be construed as providing professional or certified advice of any kind.”
