A car that has so many features it’s easier to describe what it doesn’t have, that’s the BRABUS magic.
When I was reading the features list for the XLP Superblack I thought, “Wow, that’s pretty nifty.” And then I kept reading… and kept reading and reading. At a certain point I had to stop or this would have been a very bloated article. Instead, I’ll just take you through a few highlights of the XLP Superblack because Brabus have just absolutely packed this thing with features.

Let’s start with the exterior. Based on the Mercedes-AMG G63, it either looks like the coolest car in the world, or the silliest and most over-the-top car in the world, depending on who you are. I think that it’s somewhere in the middle. Its design is purposefully garish and over-the-top. The fact that it succeeds at being garish and embraces it, is what I think makes it cool. There’s no doubt that driving around in a Brabus is a statement, is what I’m trying to say.

This is why I don’t think the “light-up” exhausts don’t bother me because it’s the little touches that you wouldn’t bother with on a normal car that make a Brabus special. It’s loud, it’s angry, it’s a damn weapon.
Weapon would be right too as the performance is right in line with the design philosophy – more! The XLP Superblack can reach 0-100km/h in just 4.8 seconds thanks to a 4-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine that pumps out 588kW/800hp. A nine-speed automatic gearbox launches 1000NM to four wheels for a top speed of 210km/h. These numbers mean that this is one of the fastest pick-up trucks in the world!

The interior is just as flash as the exterior. Everything that isn’t leather, is probably finished in carbon fibre from the steering wheel to the centre console. You’ve got aluminium on the pedals, door-lock pins, and the paddle shifters which look very sharp against the black paint throughout. There are over 206 individual cockpit elements in the car so it would be exhausting to go on about it but look at the pictures yourself and you can see that it’s all primo stuff.
