Adding to Patek Phillipe’s collection of chronographs comes three new pieces that are absolutely stunning.
These are three new variations of the 5204, 5905, and the 5930 models and they’re really flexing their complication expertise here.
The first one is the 42mm ref. 5905/1A-001 which for the first time is available in steel. It features a self-winding flying chronograph with an Annual Calendar complication. The calendar automatically takes account of 30- and 31-day months and requires only one correction a year on March 1st. The dial is a an absolutely radiant “sunburst” olive green colour that makes it a great addition to the green watch trend.
Next up is the 40mm ref. 5204R-011 features a split-seconds chronograph and perpetual calendar with a rose gold case and absolutely stunning slate grey sunburst dial (looks brown to me, but whatever) with gold applied hour markers. Now this a dress watch that will impress at dinner. It’s luxuriant and beautiful.
Now the 39.5mm ref. 5930P-001 may be controversial to some but it honestly looks brilliant. It manages to combine the function of a tool watch with the class and style of a dress watch. The case is platinum and features a green circular hand-guilloched pattern. The world time function takes up a bunch of real estate on the dial but it might be better off for it.
These are fantastic additions the Patek line up and they are all beautiful in their own way. If I had to pick one it would either be the sporty 5905/1A-001 or the stunning 5930P-001. Which is your favourite?
