Hublot have unveiled the newest addition to their Big Bang collection, the Big Bang Integral Tourbillon Rainbow.
Hublot are known for their bright colours on each of their watches, particularly their Big Bang’s, but never before have they included all seven of their available colours in one watch. These two new rainbow Big Bang’s come in two variants, white gold and King Gold.
Hublot loves sapphire and for good reason, they’ve managed to bend sapphire to their will these days with state-of-the-art techniques that have allowed things like the Big Bang made completely from sapphire, the ref. 455.JX.0120.JX. So it makes sense that they decided to pack these watches full of sapphires.
These new variants feature 484 invisibly set baguette-cut stones of seven different types (three being variants of sapphires). So, to start there are red rubies, ultraviolet amethysts, fuchsia pink sapphires, green tsavorites, orange sapphires, yellow sapphires, and Klein blue topazes. All up the watch totals almost 36 carats.
The 43mm watch is not for everyone but it is undeniably impressive. If a statement watch is what you’re after than there are fewer statements equal to this monster. Multicoloured watches are no longer a faux pas, but they certainly aren’t for everyone. You would be that guy if you wore something like this to the office but maybe if you wanted to wear it to a party, you would definitely turn heads.
The watch starts at $790,000 USD ($1,088,500 AUD). Check it out on Hublot’s website.
